What I Remember

Calfee Park in Pulaski was one of the least pretentious parks we saw on the Excellent Adventure and also one of my favorites. There was nothing fancy about it, a low grandstand of bleachers behind home plate , a couple of others on either base line and that was about it.

But the park was and is beautiful and even in the grainy video we shot 30 years ago it comes through. For the rest of this week I am going to embed a video on this page each day – a summer celebration of our time in the Appalachian League, a time we called then, our baseball vacation.
