WhyO Wyoming

It’s 91 degrees on a mid-Friday afternoon in Cowley, Wyoming. Where? Well, it’s about 25 miles northeast of Cody. Still trying to get your bearings? How about an hour and a half northeast of the East Gate at Yellowstone National Park.

How do I come to be this far off the beaten track? (A pretty apt expression in these parts by the way.) It’s the regional finals of the American Legion State Tournament) between Powell and Cody and because there are no minor league teams playing in Wyoming this year this is a very acceptable substitute to represent Wyoming in my quest to see a game in every state this year.
